“Animal Nitrate”, originally released on Nude Records on 22nd February 1993, and to this day one of many highlights of a Suede concert. It reached number 7 in the UK charts, making it the highest-charting single from the debut album.
It was aided by the band performing the song live at the Brit Awards on 16th February at Alexandra Palace, to a TV audience of 9 million homes.
B-side “The Big Time” did not appear on the “Suede” album.
