Stunning limited edition Picture Disc featuring an alternative "original" track listing and ordering that was originally chosen for release (a production master was created) but was changed at the last minute.
Includes three additional tracks not included on the 1981 album - I Burn For You (the track single mix from the Brimstone and Treacle album), Once Upon A Daydream & Shambelle
To underline the uniqueness of this release and to reflect the idiosyncrasies of the band, four tracks (Spirits In The Material World, Rehumanize Yourself , One World (Not Three) and Hungry For You...) contain Stewart's count in the tracks, which also don't can be found on the 1981 album! The Side A design shows the 'Logo' image on the front and Side B shows the image on the inside of the case, below. Recorded at AIR Studios in Montserrat and Le Studio in Quebec, The Police's fourth studio album reached #1 in the UK Albums Chart and was a multiplatinum bestseller. The original version contained three hit singles - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, Invisible Sun and Spirits in the Material World. Other highlights include vicious jazz-rocker Demolition Man (later covered by Grace Jones), fast-paced Rehumanize Yourself, and ballads Secret Journey and Darkness. Jazz influences became more apparent, but the album had a very strong, sophisticated pop appeal that was due to Sting's songwriting talent.
