Select Captain is the musical alter-ego of singer/songwriter and guitarist Kristian Gaarskjær.
Since 2014 Select Captain have released two albums and an EP. Had numerous singles in rotation on national Danish Radio P4 & P5, and toured relentlessly, both solo and with his band.

With the foundation in a classic songwriting tradition, The Captain takes the listener on a road-trip through a catchy, yet fragile musical universe, with an emphasis on melody and songwriting in a soundscape of acoustic instruments and ambient reverbs. The songwriting universe deals with aspects of human feelings in a divided universe. Loneliness, arrogance, greed, joy, love and despair go hand in hand, and gives the listener the sound of a world in change and disorder.
